It was another sweltering week here in London. On Monday, Paul completed his 3-month probation at work, although it went totally unnoticed by the management. On Wednesday, Dawn got home late as she had to drop by Turnmills (a bar/club/restaurant around the corner from her workplace) with some colleagues. Dawn and the other members of the Christmas Party Committee needed to check it out before arranging the deposit. On Thursday, Paul spent all day on the phones in the Communications Centre at work because the guy he started as Helpdesk Manager called in sick. Friday saw the two of us drop by Kinks for our haircut with Mel, before picking up some Chinese from Peking, Peking on the way home. Still no more progress on buying the house in Hertford. Our solicitors are still waiting on paperwork from the seller's solicitors. And the mortgage company is still waiting on paperwork from our broker, and additional bank statements from us.
