Today was my last lay off day which meant at least I was home with Tiny. However, during the night Tiny woke both of us up by climbing over us and was beginning to show signs of improvement. In fact, when we got up at 4:15am as usual, she was now moving around as normal and had a disgusted expression on her face when she noticed her two food bowls were missing.
After a little deliberation, it didn't take long for Dawn and me to agree that Tiny did not need to endure the trauma of a scan, or be refused food. So we replaced the bowls and allowed Tiny to eat a little food before removing them again.
To cut a long story short, I took Tiny to the vet for the 8:30am appointment as planned and told the vet that we didn't want Tiny to have the scan, but would appreciate if they could check her over again. Thankfully they were in agreement, but the next available slot was at 10:30am. So it was back home again before returning for Tiny to get a once over. As we had hoped, Tiny was on the mend. I was given a medicine to ease her stomach, but I could take her home with me. The night before we feared that Tiny would have to spend all day, and possibly be hospitalised there. So to say it turned out well is an understatement.
