Today was Dad's 82nd birthday and all I will say about this is that after living in Florida for 7 years and seeing Dad go through all his health problems over the last three and a half years, I am so pleased that I was able to spend some time with him today.
We stopped off at Dim T for lunch on the way (because Dad said he didn't feel up to going out).
When we arrived at Dad's flat, we handed him a card and the book we picked up yesterday and chatted for a little before I went into the kitchen to light the candles and bring the cake into the living room singing "Happy Birthday to You." Dad really looked surprised. He blew the candles out before I put the cake on the side. Phillip phoned him before we got there, and I am sure David will telephone before the day is out.
Back home Dawn did her ironing while I edited the photos, and then updated our blog and Facebook. After dinner Dawn watched a X-Factor from last night and then tonight.
