Today I took half a day off work and drove over to the Whittington Hospital from Enfield to visit Dad. He was surprised to see me, but pleased. As I walked in he was being wheeled to x-ray to have a scan done on his kidneys.
I was surprised to see how rough Dad looked. He had difficult breathing and his hands were shaking. But then again he did have a lung infection. An oxygen tank and nebulizer were helping him to breathe. However, that was the cause of the shaking, too. George turned up a little later, so it was good to see him too.
Later on George called to say that Dad had been moved to a different ward and that he had had a scan on his chest after I had left.
