Sat, Dec 8th

After running out to do our grocery shopping, we made our way to Hertford North to catch a train to Holloway to visit Dad. We chilled out by reading our books. That was until Dawn noticed a reindeer on a leash looking into our carriage as we arrived at Gordon Hill station. Dawn asked me what it was doing there. Apart from suggesting it was waiting for a train to the North Pole to meet Santa, I hadn't a clue.

We caught the tube from Finsbury Park to Holloway Road so we could stop for a bite at the Coronet before stopping in to see Dad. However, as I had forgotten our umbrella in the car and it was pouring down with rain, we had to stop at a local shop to pick up a cheap one to keep our heads dry. This it did successfully (almost). However, our backs, jeans and feet were soaked by the time we got to Dad's. Thankfully, the walk back to the station afterwards was a little easier as the rain had subsided.

Back home, I worked on the baseboards again. This time I started to paint them.
