Another busy Sunday. I did some (yes, you can guess) work on the baseboards before Dawn put our new Christmas tree up in the living room. Dawn keeps reminding me that it's a Fraser Fir. I, on the other hand, remind her that it's still artificial.
In the meantime, I made a mess in the kitchen while I baked six dozen fruitcake cookies. We used Brady's recipe as best as we could, but had to substitute some dried fruit for glazed pineapple pieces, which we couldn't find. The first batch got overcooked as I left them in the oven too long. I had stuck to the recipe. However, the later batches came out fine as I adjusted the temperature and the length of time I left them in the oven.
